Friday, February 24, 2012 Ministry for Education approved the deadlines for USE in 2012
The RF Ministry for Education and Science approved the terms and schedule to pass the unified state examination (USE) in 2012.

According to the document, pre-scheduled exam passing begins on 20th of April with the Russian language exam. Exams in a foreign language, geography, chemistry and history take place on 23rd of April. Mathematics is held on 26th of April and Informatics, biology, social studies, literature and physics – on 2nd of May.

If someone doesn’t come to the exam for a valid reason, or has not enough time to do the task, then he or she may pass it again on 4th of May regardless of the subject.

The USE main wave begins on 28th of May with the exams on computer science, biology, and history. The Russian language is tested on 31st of May, a foreign language and Chemistry – on 4th of June, mathematics – on 7th of June, social science and chemistry – on 13th of June, and both geography and literature – on 16th of June.

For those missed examination or failed to do the task, some reserve days are provided.

If high school graduates failed exams on the Russian language and mathematics they are allowed to retake the exam. The dates are already known.

Unified state exam starts in all Russia’s regions at 10 am local time. It is allowed to take only a ruler, protractor and calculator. In addition, tests for history, mathematics and computer science to be slightly modified in 2012.
