Thursday, May 24, 2012 Hot Line of the Russian Ministry for admission to kindergartens, schools and universities moves to a single multi-line phone
In order to improve citizens’ access to information resources provided by the Hot Line for admission campaign in 2012, Russian Ministry for Science and Education introduced a single multi-line telephone on 18th May 2012: +7 (495) 539-5520.

Hot Line is still open daily, from 8 am till 3 pm, except Saturday and Sunday, until 10th August 2012.

Within Hot Line’s operation you can get information on:

Reception of citizens for education, including children to preschools and schools, institutions of primary vocational education, vocational and higher education;

- Transfer of students to other educational institutions;
- Expulsion of students from educational institutions for various reasons and return to the institution;
- Admission of foreign citizens in state-accredited educational institution of higher education.

Hot line phones have received 2,535 calls from January 23 to May 18, 2012.

Statistics on the content of the questions asked by citizens, is as follows:

929 calls (36.6% of the total number of incoming calls) – on matters relating to organization of educational institutions;
380 (15%) – on organization of preschool institutions;
694 (27.4%) – on questions regarding vocational education;
159 (6.3%) – on admission and getting education of foreign citizens in the educational institutions of the Russian Federation;
373 (14.7%) – other matters.
