Electronic journals to be used in all Moscow schools by the end of 2012. According to Deputy Head of Moscow Education Department Veniamin Kaganov, such journals are already used in 90% of schools in Moscow and in 80% of classes.
Some schools continue to use ordinary journals along with electronic ones. Such a practice might be introduced in the future. As RIA Novosti reported, double recording to be kept at the discretion of the educational institutions.
Kaganov also noted that prior to the end of the year various clubs and sections will also move over to the electronic recording.
We recall an elementary school in Moscow moved to new federal state educational standards (FGOS) on September 1, 2011. In 2012, the City Government announced a five-year program “Capital Education” with the funding exceeding 1.5 trillion rubles.
