Thursday, August 02, 2012 High school student from Dolgoprudny David Frenklah won a silver medal at the 43rd International Physical Olympiad!
July 25th, 2012 the meeting of the National team of Russia in physics participated in the 43rd International Physical Olympiad, took place at the Leningrad Station.

International physical competition for school children (IPhO) is an annual competition among pupils from different countries in the knowledge of physics and the ability to use its methods. The event is considered the most authoritative of its kind. One of the reasons for the competition is success of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and the experience accumulated in their carrying.

Olympiad was held in Tallinn (Estonia) from 15 to 24 July. Russia at the Olympics was represented by four students from Moscow, the Moscow region and Tambov. They demonstrated their level of training and competitiveness of the Russian physical school in general. In the overall the Russian team won three gold medals and two silver ones.
