One of the participants in the XVII Russian Education Forum is Novomoskovsk Special Boarding School for orphaned children, children without parental care and physically challenged children.
The special boarding school for orphaned children replaced a former secondary boarding school on December 30, 1962.
The school offers the following academic program.
For developmentally challenged students:
Stage 1 – special secondary school program and classes for developmentally challenged children. Elementary school.
Stage 2 – State program for secondary schools based on requirements for minimum content of basic general education.
For mentally challenged children:
A program of Type VIII special general education institutions edited by V.V. Voronkova.
In its educational process the school is focused on humanization, social rehabilitation and integration of children with special needs into society.
The main tasks of the school are the full realization of creative potential of every child and formation of healthy lifestyle for its students. The school’s teaching staff is comprised of 44 highest quality teachers. Ten of them are honorary teachers, one is a Meritorious public education teacher and another one is a Meritorious P.E. teacher.
The school’s motto is: “Let the sun shine in every child’s heart!” To chase the rain clouds away so that the sun could shine in the heart of every child is the first and foremost concern of all the school’s employees.
